Proper Propaganda is a digital savvy Communications consultancy that helps organizations craft compelling stories that get noticed, build community and drive the bottom line.

Proper Propaganda is Jackson Wightman. Jackson Wightman is Proper Propaganda (well, actually, since he owns the firm he was able to call himself whatever the heck he wanted to, and thus picked the title “Minister of Propaganda”). Though Jackson is FAR from a tyrant or a communist and has no love for odious regimes, he’s always enjoyed propaganda art. Hence the look and feel of this website.

In addition to being Minister of Propaganda, Jackson Wightman is:

• The proud co-owner of a small shop in Montreal. His wife runs it and he generally keeps his mouth shut, but it is a great lab for testing PR and marketing ideas.
• Contributing Editor at PR Daily. It’s the largest daily e-newsletter in the PR world. This work helps Jackson stay on top of the latest developments in Communications and social media. It has also taught him about the softer side of indentured servitude.

Jackson has an MA in International Politics from Carleton and an MBA from Concordia. Note - it took a considerable amount of subterfuge and wheedling for these institutions to actually award him these degrees.
